Privacy is not a settings toggle. The app cannot phone home — there is no networking code.

How accurate is the detection?
Music analysis is never exact — algorithms can misread tempo or hear a relative key. SongKeyPad is an assistant, not ground truth. Every result shows a confidence percentage and an alternate reading, and the chord timeline stays fully editable so your ears decide.

Is it really offline?
Yes. The application includes no networking code. It makes no network connections, so no information about you, your device, or your music leaves your computer through the app. Store purchases (itch.io / Microsoft Store) are handled by those stores, not by SongKeyPad.

What formats are supported?
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A/AAC, and WMA.

What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit. The itch.io build is self-contained — unzip and run, with nothing else to install.

Does the microphone upload anything?
No. Recordings are written to a temporary folder on your computer, used only for the analysis you requested, and deleted automatically. They are never transmitted.

Can I edit the chord results?
Yes. The chord timeline is fully editable: retag chords, fix boundaries, undo/redo, and nudge changes by 0.1s. You can also select any part of the waveform and analyze just that section.

How do refunds work?
Refunds are handled by the store you purchased from. itch.io and the Microsoft Store each have their own refund policies — use their purchase support tools for requests.
